The Tallahassee RollerGirls are excited to be back and playing their next bout at the North Florida Fairgrounds on August 14th. Fresh off the road, TRG’s premiere team Capital Punishment took on the Nashville Rollergirls this past weekend on July 10th.
Although not currently WFTDA-ranked nationally (Women’s Flat Track Derby Association), Capital Punishment was able to hold their own against Nashville (WFTDA ranked 24th nationally) for the majority of the game before ultimately being defeated 159-70--after a huge Nashville’s 29-point power-jam from Rambo Sambo. Looking for some redemption, TRG will be on the road once more on August 28th to take on Huntsville in another WFTDA match-up. Before that, though, the city of Tallahassee will have a chance to watch Capital Punishment take on the Molly Rogers Rollergirls from Melbourne, Florida. Molly Rogers will be back with a vengeance after CP defeated them 192-58 back in May. Tickets for this bout will be going on sale this upcoming week on TallyRG.com, Bird’s Aphrodisiac Shack, Play It Again Sports, or Funky Planet Surf & Skate Shop in the Governor Square Mall.
