We’re at the half way mark for the 2013 Tallahassee RollerGirls 7th official season, but we’re planning to heat things up with many amazing upcoming events! Make sure to mark your calendar and make plans to hang out with the TRG in the upcoming weeks during what we've entitled the "Derby Days of Summer!" It kicks off with a Car Wash and Pub Crawl, followed by a day o' fun with Season 7 Bout 4 against the Tampa Bay Derby Darlins, and finishes off with the 5-D's fundraising event!

Our MVP of the Month is Michelle Blanton (Mistress Spanks A Lot), who has been with TRG since 2010! She is a longtime and experienced Non-Skating Official (NSO) who assists with the tracking of penalties and points during a bout. NSOs play an integral part in making a bout a success, and TRG is very grateful that the very lovely Mistress (as well as our other awesome derby NSOs) volunteers to help with the other side of derby.

Starting the 2013 season with a win on the road, the Jailbreak Betties are ready to kick off their home season taking on a hungry and competitive Cajun Rollergirls this Saturday, April 20th at the North Florida Fairgrounds. Counting toward Derby South Rankings, this will be a hard fought match-up until that last whistle blows.

Two bouts in two weekends? Does it get any better than this! On Saturday, April 13th and Saturday, April 20th, the Tallahassee RollerGirls invite you to attend Season 7 Bout 2 featuring a WFTDA matchup between the Cincinnati Rollergirls and Tallahassee’s own Capital Punishment (A-Team), and Season 7 Bout 3 featuring a matchup between the Cajun Rollergirls and Tallahassee’s own Jailbreak Betties (B-Team).

Our MVP of the Month is Stone (#420), who has been with TRG since 2009! You can usually see her hopping, skipping, and jumping her way through the pack when she jams, as well as engaging in some awesome jammer on jammer action. When she blocks, she makes it really hard for her opponents to get by, knocking them down with her powerful hits. She is also always willing to help out her fellow teammates with learning and perfecting new skills.
