Primary Position: Anything in stripes, but mostly inside or outside pack ref
What do you do outside of roller derby: I'm in da DROP. 'Nuff said.
Athletic or Skating Background: Anything on skates. Ice, quad, in-line, metal with keys, you name it - which includes hockey.
Why I joined derby: great exercise, great people, lots of travel, and a cutting-edge sport that gets more technical every year. Plus I learned to knit.
Best Derby Moment: Any bout in which a new TRG skater lines up in the pack or at the jammer line for the first time... I'm as proud as the rest of our team! Then the moment passes and I become a ref again.
Best Derby Experience: Being a jammer referee at the Flamingo Banks, Las Vegas, outdoor track at midnight in July, in 100-degree heat, in a pick-your-own-team scrimmage with skaters and referees from all over North America.
Favorite derby fan: My supervisor's mom, who is 89 years old. She loves us.
Game Day Rituals: Blast head-banger music during the drive to the track. Eat pre-game meal at Wendy's. Read the rules again.
