Frozen TundraNumber: -273 What do you do outside of roller derby: Sell athletic clothes/shoes/equipment. Enjoy the very small amount of time not taken up by derby and work. Athletic or Skating Background: Six years softball, four years rugby. Skated regularly for a few years as a young child. Why I joined derby: I hadn't played a sport in a few years and was looking for a physical outlet and the enjoyment of being on a team again. Best Derby Moment: It's a legit tie. 1. First time jamming in a game (Knoxville 07/2011) when my derby wife, Nikki Nailer, took out an entire three-wall in one hit - allowing me to get lead jammer. 2. Completing my first apex jump in a game (04/2012). The fairgrounds crowd is always so amazing and they went nuts! Plus my parents were in town to enjoy it with me. Favorite Opponent: Anyone that puts up a fair and classy fight. The close wins are always the most satisfying. Favorite Derby Fan(s): Whomever screams the loudest. Embarrassing Moment: Falling at the line before the whistle the first jam of my first game. Game Day Rituals: Hopefully sleep in. Eat something light like soup or a salad. Listen to DJ Ito on the way to the venue. Birthday: June 24 Height: 5’2" Weight: Less now than before I started skating! |
