How did you come up with your derby name? Does it have any meaning?
One of my favorite bands is The Clash. I was listening to them, and it happened to be Ash Wednesday. As I joke I said, “It’s Clash Wednesday” and the name stuck!
How did you get involved in roller derby? How did you wind up with TRG?
I started skating with the Dominion Derby Girls in Virginia in 2011. When I moved to Florida in 2012 I skated with the Beach Brawl Skater Dolls out of Fort Walton Beach, then with the Sugar Sands Roller Girls out of Panama City. When I moved to Tally there was no hesitation that I wanted to join TRG!!
What do you do outside of derby?
I love to bake, run, do yoga, and spoil my two little dogs and cat.
Likes? (Anything, derby or just in general)
Cupcakes, dogs, TRG, and nice people.
Dislikes? (Anything, derby or just in general)
Just be kind.
Why is TRG (or roller derby) important to you?
I have met so many amazing, athletic, and powerful women through the sport of derby. It is empowering to get to skate with these women who are not only incredible on the track, but who work full-time, go to school, and care for families all at the same time.
